Is That All There Is?
Is that all there is? Is that the best you can do? Is that your best shot?
Fewer job losses than expected sends the market up 150 points, then gives it all up, sending the market down -50,
finally closing up a lousy 22 points?
If that's how the market acts on 'good' news, what can we expect on 'bad'?
CNBC shows the Obama administration absolutely giddy over trying to claim all the credit when, in truth, they are
the biggest impediment to economic improvement and everyone knows it. The voters are not fooled.
The old saying, "Do me once, shame on you. Do me twice, shame on me!" applies. This economy has no chance of
improving until the day after the November 2010 Elections.
W. D. Gann, a keen market observer, although not an astronomer, nevertheless, was
fascinated by the apparent coincidence of important market 'pivot points' and astronomical
dates. Theories exist for estimating time and price of important market turning points but
astronomical occurrences are computed with mathematical certainty.
There is no logical reason why these occurrences should coincide yet, empirically, they
have. The 'Full Moon' and 'New Moon', among others, have been cited. Therefore, one might
be well advised to be aware of their occurrence. Note: The first 5 business days of 2008
concluded on a 'New Moon' and we all know how that worked out. Coincidence?
12/16 Wednesday - New Moon.
12/31 Thursday - Full Moon (Blue Moon).
